How can I place an order?

Placing an order is very simple and easy. All orders for Mac OS X products are processed by our sales partner share*it!. To begin the order process, click on the word Order page next to the product you want to place an order for. You will be directed to the order page of share*it!, and your Internet connection will be encrypted using secured SSL communication to guarantee maximum safety.

  1. Set the language and currency options to your personal needs. The price can be displayed in Euro, US Dollar, and more than 40 other international currencies. Price quotations are computed based on the Euro price.
  2. Adjust the number of products you want to order, if needed.
  3. Enter your personal information.
  4. Choose a payment option.
  5. Follow the instructions given.
  6. A valid commercial invoice can be printed.
  7. The product will be delivered to you as fast as possible.

Can I place the order without using the Internet?

Yes, you can alternatively place your order by phone, fax or postal mail. For detailed instructions, please select the menu item Help > Purchase Registration Key in the application you want to order.

How is the product delivered?

The registration keys for our Mac OS X products are always delivered electronically, by sending it to you via e-mail. You will not receive a printed document or a CD-ROM by postal mail.

After you have placed the order and share*it! has received your payment, a confirmation of your payment and the information about your order is sent to us. We will send the requested registration keys to you as fast as possible. For security reasons, we will never receive any detail data (e.g. credit card numbers) about your payments to share*it!.

What should I consider when specifying my e-mail address?

Your e-mail address is very important because it is the only way we can deliver the product to you. For this reason you should make sure both your e-mail application and mail handling via your Internet service provider are working correctly.

Note that the product will be sent to you from our German headquarters, with the "bresink.de" or "bresink.eu" domain as sender address. Your e-mail software or your Internet service provider must not filter out messages sent from Europe, otherwise you won't be able to receive anything from us! Unfortunately, some low-quality "anti-SPAM" filters may erroneously categorize the key code information as garbage or unsolicited commercial e-mail. For this reason you should verify that your mail system is actually capable of receiving product keys. Note that it can even be illegal in some countries to enable e-mail filters on an address used for receiving business e-mail.

Receiver addresses at yahoo.com show a significantly high failure rate in our experience. For this reason, we do not recommend that you are specifying a yahoo.com address for delivery of the registration code.

As of June 15, 2010, the message filters at gmail.com and googlemail.com also experience very serious technical problems which can prevent you from receiving the registration codes. We do not recommend to specify such addresses for delivery.

What should I do if my SPAM filter has destroyed the registration e-mail?

Deactivate the misconfigured e-mail filter and use our Investigation Request form to initiate that a second copy of the product should be sent to you.

Can I specify different addresses for billing and delivery?

Yes, this is possible without problems. The order form at the share*it! website can handle this. Please note that you have to specify the end user of the software on the first page of the order form. Don't confuse the name of the user (licensee) with the name of the addressee for the invoice which has to be specified later.

Can I return a registration key or cancel the contract and get a refund?

You can test and evaluate the software thoroughly before placing an order. For this reason we have to assume that an order is binding after you have decided to purchase a usage license and the associated registration key.

Because the license is an intangible product, no return is possible. Both the European Directive on the Protection of Consumers in Respect of Distance Contracts and the German Remote Sales Act (97/7/EC, and §3 Sec. (3) FernAG) exclude such products from the right of withdrawal.

For this reason, the return of a delivered registration key or the withdrawal from the sales contract are not possible. There are no refunds. Your possible rights of cancellation of a sales contract in case of product defects remain untouched.

What will I receive?

You will receive an e-mail message which contains the registration information used to unlock all features of our software, removing any "demo mode" restrictions. The registration information consists of two pieces of data:

You will receive a name/key pair for each single product you have ordered. The e-mail message and the reference manual of the software products contain detailed information on how to enter the registration data.

Please make a printout of your registration e-mail to make sure you are still having a document in case your hard disk gets erased or becomes defective.

What currencies can I use?

Share-It generally accepts Euro, US dollar, British pound, Australian dollar, Japanese yen, Canadian dollar, Swiss franc, Russian rouble, Brasilian real, Norwegian krona, Swedish krona, Polish zloty, Chinese renminbi yuan, Taiwan dollar, and Indian rupee as billing currencies. Specific payment options provided by third parties may restrict this set and accept selected currencies only (see previous question).

When you order via Internet, you can display all prices in many additional currencies as well. Over 40 currencies are available.

How can I get price quotations in other currencies?

Click on the word Order page next to the product to go to the order page. Select the desired currency with the pop-up menu in the upper right corner.

When will I receive my registration data?

This depends on many factors, as the country you are in, the payment option you have selected, the processing speed of your bank, and current daytime. We guarantee that you will receive your registration data within a time frame of 48 hours after share*it! has received your payment.

If you pay via credit card, and place your order during office hours in central Europe, you will receive the product in a typical average time of 90 minutes. As mentioned before, actual delivery time in a particular case can vary greatly depending on circumstances.

Why can't you process my order fully automatically, so that I will receive the product immediately?

We take care of our customers. Handling them like computer records is not an acceptable standard for us to fulfill services. In addition, there are also several other, more practical aspects which forbid automatic delivery. We describe the two most important ones here:

  1. German tax laws: German laws on Value-Added Tax and Generally Accepted Accounting Rules require that we perform a minimum set of verification checks on the address and billing data specified by each of our customers. The necessary verification steps cannot be performed automatically. For example, we are legally forced to reject orders where the country of delivery has been specified incorrectly, even if the product is sold by Share-It, not by us.
  2. Anti-robot techniques used by many customers: In their fight against unsolicited commercial e-mail (SPAM), a significant and growing number of customers are using technologies which detect messages sent by automatized processes. These customers automatically reject or delete any incoming message which has not been sent by a real person, for example by using CAPTCHA software (Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart). For this reason, automated delivery is a thing of the past.

Will I receive a valid invoice?

Yes, a legally valid invoice will be created as PDF document just after your order has been completed. You can save or print the document. For customers who specified an invoice address within the European Union, the PDF document will additionally be signed using a qualified digital signature as it is required by European tax laws.

What about value-added tax or other sales taxes?

After you have entered your personal information in share*it!'s order form, the correct tax applicable to you will automatically be computed in compliance with local and international laws.

What should I do if I haven't received the registration data?

In more than 99% of all cases this is caused by a misconfigured mail filter on your side, or by having specified an invalid e-mail address. Please make sure your e-mail setup is indeed working correctly and see the hints mentioned above.

Will you sell or transfer my personal information or e-mail address?

No, your privacy is very important to us. We will never transfer your personal information to a third party. For more information see our privacy statement and the privacy statement of share*it!.

Will I receive information about updates or product news via e-mail?

No, we follow very high privacy standards. The e-mail address you have specified for delivery of a product will never be used for any other purposes. The only exception would be an emergency message if we detected some risk in the ordered product which requires your immediate attention.

We may offer a newsletter service in the future but this will require your explicit permission and reentry of your e-mail address.

My online order was interrupted so I don't know its current status. Can I track or cancel my order?
